Cause: The communication has been broken while the listener is trying to hand off the client connection to the server process or dispatcher process. I have seen this error before - but this was a network/listener/tns config issue. This happens with no client sessions connected - literally the first connection attempt using SQL*net after starting up the db instance, OS is Debian Linux kernel 2.6.24 (yes, I know that's Join & Write a Comment Already a member? thanks by the observations!!!
